Kjøller has invested in MEGA.AI, which develops AI-powered voice agents for debt collection and recovery.
MEGA.AI is building technology that can automate a significant share of the conversations and processes currently handled manually in call centres. The solution is specifically designed for an area where efficiency must be combined with strict requirements for compliance, documentation and controlled workflows.
For Kjøller, the investment is an example of the type of artificial intelligence application we expect to have a significant impact in the coming years.
AI is increasingly moving from experimental use cases into real-world workflows where the technology can take over repetitive and labour-intensive tasks. This is particularly relevant in industries with large volumes of standardised communication and established processes.
Debt collection is precisely such an area. At the same time, the industry is highly regulated, placing strict requirements on how the technology is used. MEGA.AI therefore works with defined workflows, clear frameworks and guardrails, ensuring that the system operates within controlled processes rather than freely generating responses.
“We are not looking for AI for AI’s sake. We look for companies where the technology solves a real problem, can create measurable efficiency gains and, at the same time, free up human time from repetitive tasks. MEGA.AI fits very well with that investment thesis,” says Magnus Kjøller.
Historically, new technologies have continuously reshaped the labour market. Railways, electricity and the internet have all eliminated, transformed and created jobs and functions. Kjøller expects AI to have at least as significant an impact on how companies organise and carry out work.
The investment in MEGA.AI is part of Kjøller’s continued focus on companies that use technology to solve concrete business problems and create scalable solutions.
We look forward to following MEGA.AI’s continued development and contributing to the company’s growth.
