New investment: Landguard Engineering

We are pleased to announce that Northern Industries, in which we own just under half of the shares, has completed an investment in Landguard Engineering, a specialised engineering company based in Harwich, Essex.

Landguard Engineering is a well established provider of acoustic attenuation systems, steelwork and HVAC related support structures for mission critical facilities across the UK and Europe. The company designs and manufactures acoustic enclosures, ventilation and exhaust silencers, structural steelwork and bespoke metal fabrication, with a strong track record of delivering high performance solutions for data centres and large scale standby power installations.

Landguard’s 11,000 sq ft production facility, combined with deep in house design and fabrication capabilities, has positioned the company as a trusted supplier to some of the fastest growing segments of the infrastructure market. Demand for new and upgraded data centres continues to rise sharply, driven by the rapid expansion of AI, cloud computing and high density digital workloads. This trend has contributed to a healthy order book and a substantial forward pipeline for the business.

Our investment through Northern Industries will support the company’s ongoing growth and enable further scaling of its design, manufacturing and installation capacity. Landguard’s specialised engineering capabilities align strongly with our group’s focus on high value industrial companies and engineered solutions. We see significant opportunities to accelerate growth through operational synergies, expanded customer relationships and increased demand across the wider Northern Industries portfolio.
