New investment: Shopbox

If you live in, or have visited Scandinavia, you may already have paid through their system without knowing it. Each year, Shopbox processes more than DKK 5 billion in payments across over 2,500 shops, restaurants, and chains in the Nordic region.

Shopbox is a Danish fintech company that delivers POS software and integrated payment solutions. Their platform brings together sales, inventory management, reporting, customer service, and payments in one place – both physical and digital. At the same time, they offer tailored hardware solutions, ranging from payment terminals to complete packages.

The company currently has over 50 employees and operates in three countries. Shopbox is on a strong growth journey, and we are pleased to announce that we have invested in the company and are now part of that journey.

In recent years, Shopbox has intensified the consolidation of the Nordic POS market. With the acquisitions of Sofier (2021), Quickorder and Weorder (2023), and most recently Employ (2025), where we were until recently co-owners, they have cemented their position as a central player in bringing together and simplifying an otherwise fragmented industry.
